This is a large Oil painting / mixed-media that portrays a surreal composition inspired in urban life in Queens New York.
A shared human fragility. At the center: a mother figure, objectified, the abuela (grandma) signifies resilience; as heavy orbs hover like forces of fate, memory, societal pressures. These torso figures dripping the cityscape, move in circles from the individual to the collective, within a vast diversity of urban life.
